Had a great night for our 1st 22 caliber shoot of the season. Nice weather, very good turnout and the meatball subs weren't too bad either. Our next shoot is June 15th 5:30ish till 8:30ish, come out and shoot or just come out and have a meal and hang out.
Evans Rod & Gun Club will have a Hunter Education class on 9/9/2017 from 8am-4pm. pre-registration date starts on 8/5/2017 @ Midnight.
Bow Hunters Education class 9/16/2017 8am-4pm. pre-registration date starts on 8/12/2017 @ Midnight.
All classes will fill up fast so don't wait for the last minute. People will start calling at Midnight on the pre-registration date and the classes will fill up with in hours.
All Evans classes will be a home study class and done on line.

This years 23d Annual youth camp will be held at Hawkeye Bowmen Inc. 13300 Clinton street Alden NY. The camp will be held from August 4th. through August 6th, 2017. This camp will be a unique education opportunity for young people 12-15 years of age, who reside in Niagara, Erie, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Wyoming, or Allegany counties. This education program exceeds the requirements mandated by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, for those who wish to earn their bowhunter education certificate. The camp is designed to provide up 30 young people with an opportunity to experience an intensive education program focused on bowhunting and the outdoor camping experience. Participants will have an opportunity to earn their New York State Bowhunter Education Certificate, while experiencing supervised HANDS ON TRAINING STUDENTS THAT HAVE THEIR NYS BOWHUNTER EDUCATION CERTIFICATE ARE INELIGIBLE. The camp is free to all participants, cost are covered by donation received from local sportsmen's clubs, local merchants, state and national sponsors. Application and essays must be received by May 26, 2017. This class will fill up fast.
