Ok folks for some reason roadrunner and aol emails dont like bulk email so when ever i send emails from evans rod and gun alot of your emails get kicked back?  I send emails almost weekly and anything important that i email i also add to our web site on the NEWS tab http://www.evansrodandgunclub.com/

so if your not getting emails you have a few choices:

1. you can call and complain to roadrunner or aol and tell them not to block our domain.

2. you can check our web site on a regular basis to make sure your not missing any important information

3. you can get a real email like yahoo or gmail or outlook :-)

Become a Citizen Scientist Through FrogWatch USA

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), in partnership with Friends of Reinstein Woods, will train interested volunteers to help FrogWatch USA on Tuesday, March 21 at 7 p.m. at Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve in the town of Cheektowaga, Erie County. Community members can join an international team of citizen scientists by monitoring frog populations in the many wetlands throughout the preserve. The training is designed for people who are able to commit to monitoring at least one evening a week throughout the spring. Participants will learn to identify local frogs and toads by their mating calls and how to record data to be submitted to a national database. This data provides valuable information on the rise or decline of local amphibian populations and contributes to national conservation efforts. Registration is required for the training. The trap committee meeting originally scheduled on Tuesday was rescheduled because we were short handed on Tuesday night trap.

The new meeting is scheduled this Saturday 2/25/2017 at 11:00am. Anyone interested in improving trap/skeet shooting at the club are welcome.  The meeting will be short and there is a prepared agenda of topics.

Our tentative date for the trap banquet is on Saturday April, 29 2017. To insure we order the correct amount of food, a $10 deposit for each attendee is required. Payable at the trap desk. League shooters will be refunded their deposit at the banquet (guest deposits are not refunded).

All of the Loaded Gun-Locker raffle tickets are sold. We will be pulling the winning ticket this Tuesday during trap shooting 2/28/2017 7:00-10:00. We will also run a 50/50 raffle.

The tickets for the Ruger Precision Rifle raffle are selling fast. Please stop by the club to purchase tickets before they are gone.

Attached is the Bison City Rod and Gun Club annual Flea Market flyer. Please feel free to to forward it and print it out and post it. Take it to your clubs and hand it out and post it. I will hand out flyers at Southtowns Walleye, Bison City the ECFAB, the EC Federation and Alden Rod and Gun Club

It is April 22nd, the second last Saturday in April. Tables are free, and reservations are not needed, so get there early if you want to set up before all tables are taken. If it is a nice day, there are outside tables that can be used under the shelter.. No guns can be sold, or displayed, unless you are an FFL dealer and can do NICS checks right there.

Trap Committee Meeting

We will have a short meeting this Tuesday 2/21/2017 at 7:30.

for some reason people with roadrunner emails are not getting delivered because roadrunner sees alot of emails coming from evansrodandgun@yahoo.com and marks them as spam and they are not getting delivered.  Nothing we can do about that, I would recommend a yahoo or gmail email address.

 The Lodge Auction House is conducting an auction of firearms.  This includes over 50 rifles & shotguns, plus compound & crossbows, bayonets and swords from "One Man's Collection", so it was well maintained.   
    It's a two-day event which includes a preview day and a preview and auction day.  Registration at the door requires that you bring a License for I.D.  Those registered will be given an Auction Paddle to bid. 
    Their website will also give you a view of what is for sale at this auction.  It may be a day or two to get all items entered for auction, so Thu, latest Fri.

REMINDER TO REMINGTON RIFLE OWNERS     A Settlement Has Been Proposed in an Economic Loss Lawsuit that Alleges Safety Defects   You may be eligible to have your firearm retrofitted or receive other benefits    Recently, a federal judge ordered the parties in an economic-loss class action to remind owners of certain Remington firearms that a settlement has been reached. The settlement involves two classes. The first class includes owners of firearms that utilize a trigger connector. The second class includes owners of firearms that utilize the X-Mark Pro trigger mechanism that is the subject of a voluntary safety recall. The settlement allows owners of Remington models 700, Seven, and related models to have their trigger replaced free of charge, among other benefits.   The settlement was entered following allegations that Remington firearms can fire without a trigger pull. Remington denies those allegations with respect to the trigger connector but is offering trigger replacements to ensure continued satisfaction for its valuable customers. With respect to X-Mark Pro trigger mechanisms, Remington has implemented a voluntary safety recall. If you own a firearm that is subject to the safety recall, stop using your firearm immediately.  Safety has always been a priority for Remington.   Even if you do nothing you will be bound by the Court’s decisions. If you want to keep your right to sue the Defendants yourself, you must exclude yourself from the Settlement Class by November 18, 2016.
